    Tuesday 12-29

Anyone know what the expected route/distance is for the East side ride on tomorrow (Tuesday 12/29)?

I'm taking the day off tomorrow, yeah!

The ride starts on the east side of New Seasons Market at 33rd and Killingsworth at 10 am.  I'm not sure if Doug has something different planned for tomorow, but typically we ride north into Vancouver over the I-205 bridge out to Vancouver Lake and then back via the I-5 bridge (total distance about 40 miles).

What Steve wrote. Rain is forecast to move in tomorrow. Accuweather is saying that the precipitation will hold off until the afternoon, whereas other services are predicting rain earlier in the day. If it is raining, turnout will probably be pretty sparse, although a few will likely still show up.

Thanks. Last time I went, it was a little short. 40 miles would be good...I just don't know Vancouver, so if I need to do extra, I'd be coming back to Portland to do it.

Shane, sorry you missed it. We got in about 40 dry - if a little breezy and chilly - miles, and made it back before the snow started to fly.

    NKA Lacamas Lake

That's okay. We were slackin' off in New Season's instead of paying attention to the time. David and I got in about 75 and explored the Lacamas Lake area before heading back.

So, it looked like there is a road or trail on the other side of Lacamas Lake. Is that accessible?

Which side is the other side?  There's a MUT on the south side of the Lake that I remember being called the Heriatage Trail.  Years ago it was hard packed but ridable gravel, maybe it's been paved now.  The east end of the trail is accessible from Lake Rd just west of the Lacamas Lake Park boat ramp (first rest stop on the RACC).  The west end is off Goodwin Rd at Underwood.  The north side of the Lake is Leadbertter Rd, which is on the RACC route.
